SOCIAL ISSUE

Imagen
I think drug abuse is an improtant social issue, it affects people from all ages and all social class, and it is a topic that does not affect just the person that is using drugs, but their family and society in general.  Chile is the country from America that has the higher rates  of drug abuse in teenagers, the most used drugs here are cocaine, weed and alcohol. Of course this social issue affects every aspect of their lifes, like school, friendships, romantic relations, family, and their future.  Most teenagers that have adictions don't finish school, and some of them end up stealing or commiting crimes, and here in Chile it is really expensive to pay rehabilitation centers that help people with their adictions, so I think the state should worry about what teenagers have access too, for example the are apps that people use to buy cocaine, weed, or other drugs and teenagers have access to them without any control.  Also I think that people with drug abuse need...

My future job

Imagen
When I finally graduate I would love to work in a hospital. I want to help people to get over diseases and to have a better quality of life. In february i did my first intership in the Hospital Clinico de la Universidad de Chile, I was there two weeks and got to see what the pharmacist did and I think it was really interesting. On the other side I would like to travel and get to know other contries and cities, but I don't think working on a hospital will give me that chance, so I'm still looking for a field that fills all the things I want to do.  About the salary I don't really care about having a lot of money but I would like to win enough to have my own house or apartment, and to help my parents when they get old and stop working, also I would like to have money to learn other things, maybe study another career. Now that I'm in third year I still don't know if I'm going to do a major or anything, because I still have some doubts about what I want to do when ...

Papaya is missing

Imagen
Until last week I had a cat, his name is Papaya and he got lost last thursday and since that day I've been feeling really sad. I already put some signs on my neighborhood, a post on facebok, twitter, and instagram but I can't find him anywhere and I'm starting to lose hope. He is orange and his chest is white, his eyes are yellow and he is wearing a green collar that smells like lemon, he is very shy with humans, specially with men. I think he escaped because we moved from our old house on November 14th and there he had a backyard with grass and trees, he also used to go to the roofs so he was really free, now we live in a tiny aparment and at the beginning he was really scared, he would spend all day under the bed because the street noises are really loud. I feel like a part of me is missing without him, I raised him since he was a kitten and I really love him. I still have food for him on the door in case he wants to come back, and I think i will look for him for a very ...

I want to help people.

To be honest, when I was in highschool I didn’t want to study pharmacy, in fact, before this career I decided to study "cinema and tv", but in my first semester there I realized that actually my vocation was in chemistry, so I started looking for careers that had a lot of chemistry subjects, there was when I found pharmacy and I decided to study that. Now that I am in my third year I can confirm that I really like the career, some of the subjects are really hard and I have to dedicate a lot of hours to study and pass them, but I even have fun doing it. I think pharmacy is a beautiful career beacuse it involves people’s health and how drugs can help them to get over a lot of diseases, it has a very large laboral field, for example you can end up helping people at a pharmacy, help doctors take decisions at a hospital, you can investigate or even teach, and in every area you will be helping people to improve their quality of life. I also think it is really fun to learn how dru...

The best concert I've ever been to: Coldplay 2016 - A head full of dreams

Imagen
When I was little my mom used to listen to "the scientist" or "yellow", songs of Coldplay, a british band really famous that was formed in 1996,  this band has four memeber, Chris Martin (the lead singer, guitarist and pianist), Jon buckland (the lead guitarist), Will Champion (the drummer) and Guy Berryman (the bassist),  and until 2016 they had come to Chile just once, in 2008. As I started to grow up I became a really big fan of Coldplay, so when in 2015 they announced their tour in Latin American I got really excited and bought my ticket inmmediately.  The concert took place in the National Stadium, in Ñuñoa, on April 3rd of 2016, there were 60.000 people in the stadium that day, and even if it was cold because autum was starting, the atmosphere was amazing. At the entry of the stadium the guards gave everyone a bracelet that later would light up at the rythm of every song, it was an amazing show because it had so may details! Like in some songs they would throw...

Which country would you like to go?

Imagen
One of the countries I would like to go is Brasil, I think it is a beatuiful country, it has amazing landscapes, a really cool weather, but mainly I would like to go because of the samba, one of my dream is to go to the carnival that has place every february, the atmosphere that the country has those days is amazing, there are batucadas in every corner playing samba, people dance around them an everyone seems to be having fun. If I had the cahnce to go I would like to play in the carnival, swim in every beach, taste their food, learn their language, and also visit the amazon jungle. Right now I don't want to study or live there, first I want to finish my career here in Chile, but maybe in the future I can go to work there and have a life as a Brazilian citizen, I think in the future it would make me really happy.
