SOCIAL ISSUE

 I think drug abuse is an improtant social issue, it affects people from all ages and all social class, and it is a topic that does not affect just the person that is using drugs, but their family and society in general. 

Chile is the country from America that has the higher rates  of drug abuse in teenagers, the most used drugs here are cocaine, weed and alcohol. Of course this social issue affects every aspect of their lifes, like school, friendships, romantic relations, family, and their future. 

Most teenagers that have adictions don't finish school, and some of them end up stealing or commiting crimes, and here in Chile it is really expensive to pay rehabilitation centers that help people with their adictions, so I think the state should worry about what teenagers have access too, for example the are apps that people use to buy cocaine, weed, or other drugs and teenagers have access to them without any control. 

Also I think that people with drug abuse needs a lot of support from their families and friends, so the goberment should do workshops to teach them how to help and how to treat people with drug abuse. 

In conclusion i think that drug abuse is an important social issue because it affects a lot of people here in the country and in the world in general, and i believe the state or the goberment should help people get a life after their addictions so they won't to go to this dark world again.
